Sara Cincurova longlisted for UK’s One World Media Award

29 April 2022. We are delighted to announce that Sara Cincurova, Slovakian journalist and M100 alumna, has made it onto the longlist for the UK’s One World Media Award 2022 in the New Voice Award category! The award recognises young filmmakers or journalists up to the age of 32 “who have made a significant contribution to international journalism during the year, regardless of the medium”.

Sara has reported tirelessly from a variety of crisis zones over the past few months, most recently covering the war in Ukraine. You can read one of her stories for New York Magazine, “My journey out of Ukraine” here. Congratulations and fingers crossed for the shortlist!

Sara Cincurova is a human rights journalist from Slovakia, focusing on migration, human rights, humanitarian issues, and women’s rights.
