“We launched the Facebook Journalism Project in January with a mission to broaden and deepen our relationships with the news industry. As part of that, we’ve introduced product enhancements and launched partnerships with journalists, educators and researchers to help support informed communities, including as a founding funder of the News Integrity Initiative at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism. We also know people want to see accurate information and high quality news on Facebook, so we’re continuing our efforts to fight the spread of false news on our platform such as by exploring better positioning of publisher branding in News Feed as a focus in the months ahead. It’s going to take a concerted effort on all of our parts to help build a future where quality journalism can thrive.”
