The US election on 5 November is a fateful one. It will have a lasting impact not only on the politics of the United States, but also on the security architecture of Europe and the world. And it will determine the future of both Ukraine and the transatlantic partnership. However, despite many warnings, neither Germany nor the EU seem to be really prepared for a possible second term for Donald Trump. And Kamala Harris’s foreign policy agenda remains unclear. What does a possible President Trump or a possible President Harris mean for Europe and the Ukraine? And how does Ukraine view the US elections?
We discuss this the day after the last TV duel between the two presidential candidates in the Orangery Sanssouci with Adam Jasser (Deputy Director for News, TVP World, Poland), Tanit Koch (Journalist, The New European, Germany), Jonathan Martin (Politics Bureau Chief and Senior Political Columnist POLITICO, USA), and Olga Rudenko (Editor-in-Chief The Kyiv Independent, Ukraine).
