I am a 26 years old journalist from Latvia. For five years I have been working at the internet media “Delfi”. I work in writing journalism.

I started as a news reporter and my focus was the education system in Latvia. Right now I work at the Analysis and storytelling department. My responsibilities include searching for topics, information, including data acquisition, analysis and processing. The described topics are about social policy, such as domestic violence, unavailability of medical services, poverty and local politics.

I have a bachelor degree in media studies and journalism. And a year ago I finished my Master studies in Cultural Anthropology.

The M100 Workshop helped me to find out what else I can do for my country when it comes to the Journalism. The M100 workshop in Potsdam was a great professional experience. In the next years I longed for a similar opportunity for informal learning, hands-on journalistic practice and the opportunity for deep discussions.
