Flora Alfiero is a freelance journalist, currently based in Italy. In her articles she writes about workers’ rights, Italian university problems, politics and environmental issues, she has reported stories for national newspapers such as Il Fatto Quotidiano and the Florence-based newsroom of Il Corriere della Sera. For Prismag she is covering foreign affairs with a specific focus on the Horn of Africa and the Tigray War, collaborating with a team of young journalists to produce a monthly independent magazine.

She holds a bachelor’s in Communication Studies focusing on political communications strategies, and she is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in International Affairs at Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna. In addition, she contributes to the European Youth Press-Orange Magazine, attending and reporting on key events.

Flora worked as an intern in the editorial team of AffarInternazionali.it, the official magazine of the IAI-Istituto Affari Internazionali think-tank in Rome and over the years she attended training courses issued by the University of Oxford, the European Parliament, the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies.
