Amélie Reichmuth is a multilingual journalist and media advocate who believes that journalism has the power – and the responsibility – to bring the world closer, one story at a time.
Based in Stockholm, she produces multimedia content in five languages to empower and create positive change. In 2023, her work was even rewarded with the “European Prize of the Young Reporter”, by the French NGO Reporters d’Espoirs.
Since April this year, she is the Nordics Representative for the Journalism Trust Initiative, one of Reporters Without Borders’ flagship projects. In this capacity, she engages media organisations across Northern Europe in this initiative, using a variety of outreach activities.
That is why she is passionate about how we can (re)build trust in the media to foster democratic resilience – At a time where both press freedom and democracy are under attack.
