Mykola Siruk is First deputy Chairman of the Expert Council of Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Studies (CACDS), Member of the Supervisory Board of Ukrainian Security Studies Institute (USSI) since April 2019, Observer for newsportal Glavcom (Новини України і світу. Siruk has been the editor of the Foreign and Information Department of DEN, a Ukrainian daily newspaper of the Ukrainian Press Group, since April 2006 till September 2017. After that he worked for this daily as Observer till April 2021.

Before joining DEN, he was the news editor of the Ukrainian Defense Express News Agency from September 2001 till March 2006. From 1997 to 2001, he worked as a part-time journalist for DEN.

In 1980 he graduated from the Kyiv Polytechnical Institute as an engineer-systemotechnician and worked for 20 years at the state-owned military factory “Arsenal” in Kyiv.

His interests include foreign policy issues, especially NATO, EU and USA policies, as well as the foreign relations of the Ukraine. He has covered many NATO and EU-Ukraine summits as well many security forums in Ukraine and abroad. He was often invited as observer to Globsec security forum in Bratislava and as journalist to take part in M100 Sanssouci Colloquium in Potsdam since 2006 and Economic Forum in Poland.
