Marcus Bösch is a political and communication scientist. He works as a research assistant in the HybriD research project on the detection of hybrid disinformation campaigns at HAW Hamburg.
Bösch researches, consults and publishes on disinformation, propaganda and digital communication strategies. He studied politics, history and media informatics (M.A.) in Cologne and Cambridge. He is a trained journalist and has worked with Deutsche Welle, Germany’s International Broadcaster for more than fifteen years. Bösch is currently writing his doctoral thesis on post-digital propaganda at the University of Münster and publishes the internationally renowned newsletter Understanding TikTok.
