Tanit Koch is a journalist, moderator and communications consultant. She writes for the British weekly “The New European” and will co-host the Focus-Briefing from October onwards.
Until 2018 she was editor in chief of Europe’s largest newspaper BILD, then served as managing director of the TV news channel ntv and built up the integrated newsroom at commercial broadcaster RTL. She then spent a stint in campaign communications, working for the CDU chancellor candidate Armin Laschet ahead of the 2021 parliamentary election.
Tanit holds degrees in law and political science and is an alumna of the Stanford Graduate School of Business executive program. In 2023 she joined the advisory board of the Center for News, Technology and Innovation (CNTI). She’s also a mediocre farmer, aspiring guitarist and enthusiastic padel player.
