Joshua Schultheis was born in 1992 and grew up in Darmstadt. He studied philosophy, German studies and pedagogics in Berlin. In March 2022, he began a traineeship at Jüdische Allgemeine.

After a one-year stint as a capital correspondent at WEB.DE/GMX News, he returned to the Jüdische Allgemeine as an editor in July 2024. Here he writes about politics and the Jewish community in Germany.

Together with co-author Nicholas Potter, he has been nominated for the 2024 Theodor Wolff Prize for his investigative research “Tweets against Israel” about the Fridays for Future climate movement.
