Isolde Fugunt has been the journalistic director and managing director of the Catholic School of Journalism, ifp, since June 2023.

She was previously the Director of Studies for the journalism degree program from 2006 to 2023. She completed her traineeship at Schwäbische Zeitung. Isolde loves to encourage young people and help them find their place in journalism.

At the same time, today’s prize is an appeal to all persons who hold positions of responsibility in governments, in culture and in the media: be steadfast, value-oriented and also COURAGEOUS when irresponsible persons and powers undermine or relativise our values of freedom.
