Wiem Melki has been supporting non-profit organizations on communication, project implementation and research working on youth and women engagement, conflict and peace building, governance and transparency and online freedom of speech.

She was also a writer and reporter for Tunisia’s first digital English-speaking news outlet covering Tunisia’s early democratic transition period. Wiem supported programs that built capacities of journalists and monitored media grants to produce documentaries and research that is assessing media freedom of speech in Tunisia.

Furthermore, Wiem contributed to “Memories of A Pandemic” book collecting experiences and reflections of researchers from all over the world where she gave insights on COVID19 policies and politics in Tunisia and the United Kingdom.

Wiem holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Birmingham and a BA in Linguistics from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Tunis. She is a Chevening and Fulbright scholar, and a Global Shaper alumnus.
