Szilvia Mohai was born in 1983 in Budapest, Hungary. She graduated from Eötvös Loránd University with a degree in Hungarian language and literature in 2007 and in English translation in 2015.
She has been working as a journalist, copywriter and translator at newspapers, marketing agencies and as a freelancer. She also had her literary translations and own work published in literary journals, and translated several books from English into Hungarian.
