Stage show with six international journalists on 11 September in Potsdam’s FreiLand
On Wednesday 11 September, Germany’s most entertaining stage show with journalists will be premiering in Potsdam: the Reporter Slam. Six reporters from different European countries will put themselves and their reports to the judgement of the audience at Potsdam’s freiLand cultural centre. Who can best present their own reportage, talk about their research and captivate the audience? The use of photos, videos, music, etc. is expressly permitted.
At the end, the audience will choose the new Slam champion. He or she will qualify for next year’s final in Berlin in January.

It had long been planned to bring the Reporter Slam to Potsdam. This is where the organisation for live journalism is based: Headliner gUG.
The Reporter Slam is already touring throughout Germany and beyond Reporter Slam, Live Journalismus, Headliner, Jochen Markett, M100 Sanssouci Colloquium, M100YEJ, M100 Young European Journalists, Potsdam, FreiLand it has even been to South Africa. Thanks to the cooperation between the M100 Sanssouci Colloquium and Headliner, there is now finally a suitable occasion for the Potsdam premiere: the public Reporter Slam is the conclusion of this year’s M100 Young European Journalists Workshop, a multi-day seminar for young journalists from all over Europe, which is taking place for the 20th time as part of the renowned M100 Sanssouci Colloquium media conference.
In this super election year, the M100 Young European Journalists Workshop, to which 20 young journalists from 18 European countries have been invited following an application process, will focus on disinformation in election campaigns, how to recognise it and how to combat it in everyday journalism.
At the Reporter Slam, six of them will translate their newly acquired knowledge into ten-minute stage shows that are as entertaining and insightful as possible . The presentations will be held in English, with German translation provided. Musical highlights will be provided by the show band ‘Bommi & Brummi’. The show will be hosted by Jochen Markett, Co-Managing Director of the Reporter Slam organiser Headliner gUG.
