12 November 2021. The decision to put democratic resilience at the centre of this year’s conference, the M100 Sanssouci Colloquium has hit a nerve. Resilience, how to achieve it and what role the media can play in it, is the topic of our time. There were intense debates, insightful speeches and exciting discussions, which you can review in our film.

At the same time, today’s prize is an appeal to all persons who hold positions of responsibility in governments, in culture and in the media: be steadfast, value-oriented and also COURAGEOUS when irresponsible persons and powers undermine or relativise our values of freedom.
