My name is Quido Haškovec and I come from the Czech Republic, specifically from the gorgeous capital city of Prague. I have completed high school in my native country, however, have decided to explore further opportunities by studying BSc in Politics and Philosophy at the London School of Economics and Political science. With political study of Central and Eastern Europe being my chief area of interest, I have engaged in numerous activities exploring the region. I have been a Head of Content at the LSESU Central European conference, which invited the foremost experts from the Czech Republic and Slovakia to discuss hottest issues in the CE political landscape, including populism and gender equality. Further I am an redactor for The Student Times, where I have researched and written a series of articles tracking the rise and consolidation of populism in Eastern Europe. As a research assistant at the political think-tank Institute of Politics and Society I have also written and co-written several policy papers that dealt with internal issues within the region.
