Dr. Bruno Patino, 54, is Chief Content Officer of Arte France TV since November 2015, and Dean of Sciences Po School of journalism in Paris since 2007.
He’s been previously foreign correspondent for Le Monde in Chile (1991-1994), Publisher of InfoMatin, Chairman of Le Monde interactif from 2000 to 2008, Publisher and CEO of Telerama from 2003 to 2008 and Vice CEO of Le Monde Group; Director of France Culture and Strategy & Digital Advisor of Radio France from 2008 to 2010 and Senior Executive Vice President, Channels Programs commissioning, Strategy & Digital of France Télévisions Group from 2010 to 2015.
He’s also led several French official missions on digital turnaround (“Le devenir Numérique de l’édition” 2007 or “Etats généraux de la presse”, 2008). He’s a council member for Google’s Digital News Initiative and an Oxford Reuter’s Institute fellow.
He is a Sciences Po, and ESSEC graduate, holds an M.A from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and a Political Sciences Ph.D from Université Paris III. He’s also an INSEAD AMP alumni.
He is the author of several books on media and digital, among them: Une presse sans Gutenberg, Grasset 2005 ; La Condition Numérique, Grasset 2012 ; Télévisions, Grasset 2016 ; La civilisation du poisson rouge, Grasset 2019.
