Oliver Junker, 53, is deputy editor-in-chief of Agence France-Presse Germany in Berlin. He coordinates foreign coverage for the German service of the news agency and as a newsroom manager is engaged in the recruitment and training of AFP’s staff in Berlin.
He joined the agency in 1994. From 1999 to 2002 he was AFP Germany’s correspondent in Paris. He is fellow of the Arthur F. Burns Fellowship and the European Journalism Fellowship. He is also a lecturer at Freie Universität Berlin and has performed various workshops in Germany and abroad on teaching journalism.
