Niklaus Nuspliger is a Political Correspondent for the Swiss daily Neue Zürcher Zeitung based in Brussels. Before taking over this position at the end of 2013, he had served as a foreign correspondent in New York City and as a parliament correspondent in Bern. Born in Bern in 1980, he studied political science and international relations in Geneva, Madrid and Sydney. In addition to his work as a journalist, Niklaus has held academic guest lectures and moderated panels in Europe and the United States. His first book «Europa zwischen Populisten-Diktatur und Bürokraten-Herrschaft» on the multi-crisis of democracy in Europe was published this April with NZZ Libro in Switzerland.
