Born in İstanbul 1959, Dilek Dündar graduated from Middle East Technical University’s Department of Economics (Ankara in 1983). She had her master degree in the same university in 1986 on “Export Instability of Turkey”.
She worked in Central Bank of Turkey, in the department of Export Promotion, and in VakıfBank’s World Bank credit Department, later on.

She then transferred to media and worked as an investigative journalist at daily SÖZ, at BBC, as an assistant to BBC’s Turkey correspondent, at 32nd day TV news program as a general coordinator.

She then formed her own production company and worked as a producer of many documentaries and a cinema film.
She is been living in Germany for the last 4 years. She is married and has a son.
