Der Tagesspiegel

Stephan-Andreas Casdorff was born on 28 March 1959 in Cologne. The son of a mother from Cologne and a father from Hamburg – born in the sense of Erik Blumenfeld – couldn’t help but become a journalist rather than a philosopher. Just as his grandfather and father, but not in an electronic medium. After apprenticeships in Cologne, at Kölner Stadtanzeiger and Express, he became the first political editor. He has remained in that position to this day, only the functions have changed in the meantime. Casdorff is the publisher of the Berlin-based newspaper Der Tagesspiegel.
