Dr Faruk Ajeti has been Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in Berlin since December 2021. Since March 2023 he holds a double accreditation for the Kingdom of Denmark.

Previously, he was Counsellor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo and Diaspora, Research Fellow at the Austrian Institute for International Affairs (oiip) in Vienna, and Visiting Scholar at the Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University in Washington DC.

Ajeti received his Ph.D. with distinction from the Department of Political Science at the University of Vienna on “Austrian Kosovo Policy 1986-1999” and his M.A. from the Department of Political Science at the University of Vienna. He is married with three children.
